As a powerful plateform, ParaView offers great extension possibilities. This training has been tailored for ParaView users and VTK developers, with a basic knowledge of the VTK library, wanting to grasp ParaView deployment, the parallel processing capabilities of ParaView, and initiate extension development.

  1. VTK: a basic knowledge


  • ParaView operation in cluster mode
  • ParaView Python Scripting in client and server modes
  • Programmable Filters and Sources in VTK Python
  • C ++ plugins development with ParaView (reader/writers, filters, graphic interface, views, etc.)
This training course will be taught in English.
Course notes are also in English.
Participants are asked to bring a laptop computer for this training session.
The instructor will communicate all the specifications required to each participants before the training session.

Lunch is included.

About the instructor

Mathieu received his engineering degree from INSA Lyon, and extended his expertise with a Master in fundamental informatics at ENS Lyon in 2010. Prior to joining Kitware, Mathieu was employed at CNRS (French Research Center) as a research engineer and worked on different projects focusing on adaptive optics, recasting in large datasets, visualization pipelines using C++, C/Python, Malab VTK/Qt/ParaView. Mathieu also worked for INRIA, Winsoft and Modelys during short missions and internships.

His proficiency covers C,C++, Python, OpenGL, GLSL, VTK, ParaView, Cublas, CMake/CDash/CTest.
